Coming up!
Plant-based foods are just a passing trend? Lacking in character? Heavily processed, bland substitutes for animal products? Not where we’re from!We invite you to join us as we take over from our friends at “Zur Goldige Guttere” for one last time before it closes its doors at the end of June. Allow us to introduce you to an ancient plant-based cuisine, with an extremely rich history that goes back to way before being vegan was even a thing. Cyprus, as a predominantly Greek Orthodox island, has embraced plant based eating as part of its religious fasting practices for centuries.Whether you're a devoted vegan, a culture enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates good food, we are thrilled to take you on a journey through the realm of traditional vegan recipes. Along the way, expect to encounter some great stories and, of course, the perfect wines to accompany it all, sourced directly from the sun-kissed vines of Cyprus.

about us
Cypriotness is a culinary exploration of Cypriot culture created by Carolina Orphanidou and Natalie Toufexis. We started Cypriotness in September 2022, because we wanted to give Cypriot culture a stage, explore what our Cypriotness means to us and also share this with a few people on the way. Food is our medium, because that is what we do best. We love to eat, we love to explore and we love to cook for others. We also believe that food is an unequivocal part of our Cypriot identity. Food is power, food is political, food can unite, divide - but most importantly, tell a story. And that is what we are here to do.
what we do
Pop-Up Events
We love to talk about our Cypriot culture, share anecdotes, cook the dishes we miss from home. We also love turning food into a political conversation, raising awareness and creating a familiar atmosphere around a long table. We are able to do this through our Pop-Up Events which we host every few months. Stay up to date by following us on instagram!
